Bump, bump....

Lily is such a joy. She is so deep in imaginative play that I love to just listen to her from another room and see what stories she will come up with next. She has been playing independently for a while now, but I'm starting to really appreciate it with the baby on the way. I know that it's going to be a huge adjustmet, but I think that Lily is going to really love being a big sister. She is already talking about all the things that she is going to teach the baby. Every time I ask her if she wants a brother or a sister she says she wants a sister. I have absolutely no feeling about the sex of the baby. I thought Lily was a boy....so I'm not very good at guessing. Everyone seems to think it's a boy, but I will be happy either way. Only a few more weeks until we get to find out and then the real planning can begin.

I know that all the books say it's too early to feel the baby move, but I have felt it. Last week I started feeling something that I thought was the baby, but this week I know it was for sure. A little bump, bump here and there. I also read that second time mothers can feel it earlier. This pregnancy is like riding a bike, you kind of forget everything, but then it all comes back to you.

Keep us in your prayers for a healthy baby.

Baby on Board

Sooo...I'm pregnant! Woo hoo! I'm 12 weeks now which puts my due date in mid July. We are so excited and nervous. It's hard to imagine adding any more to our family...I feel like I will miss it being just the three of us. Lily is very excited, although I'm not sure she fully understands. She says that she wants a sister, but calls the baby a "he". She asks for the baby to come occasionally because she wants to play with (him). It's very cute and I think that she will love being a big sister. She is such an amazing daughter and I have really enjoyed watching her grow and understand the world around her. She says things to me almost daily that just amaze me..she knows and understands so much at such a young age..amazing.

I haven't gained any weight yet, although I do have a little belly starting.

I feel sick most of the time, but it's not so bad that I can't get through the day. If I keep eating little bits, then it seems manageable.

I almost can't wear my jeans anymore, so maternity clothes...here I come!

I haven't made any plans because we are waiting for the all important gender reveal to really start planning.

I don't know if it's a boy or a girl...I don't really have a feeling either way. I would love to have another girl. Lily has been such a joy and I would love for her to have a sister. I would love to have a boy too...having one of each would be amazing. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Storming the Beach

At first all she wanted was to build sandcastles.....

then she started rolling around in the sand....

which soon turned into belly crawling...

which turned into Mommy and Daddy cleaning sand off her all night.

Circle of Moms

Found a Circle of Moms link that is specific to babies born in May of 2007. I thought that was pretty cool to reach out to mom's that are right where you are.

Summer Swimming Lessons

Lily just finished her first summer session of swimming lessons. She has mastered kicking, scooping, blowing bubble and gliding. She was the star of her class...I'm not just saying that because I'm her mom...she really was the star. Today on the last day they had a free day and they got to go on the water slides. She was so excited that she did it all by herself. She would go down the slide and then get out of the pool and hug me saying "by myself" she is so proud.

First Haircut

Lily got a haircut. She really did not need one, but she had all those baby wispy hairs. I'm not going to lie...it was a little sad.
